It's so easy to fill our days with meaningless stuff and forget the reason, our whole purpose for existing - God. We can even get so invloved in being religious, we stop spending time with Him (Luke 10:40-42 - Mary and Martha). Its a constant battle for me (and others as well, I'd hazard a gues)to stay focussed on The Lord.
Great blog Jacob - I've just started one myself - http://jesusbethecentre.blogspot.com - if you're interested.

Jacob,

This blog is so true. I find that in my own life I sometimes seek for life (things, people, Sin, etc.) to fell the void that is there. But without Christ, life leaves us emptyer day by day. In my own life I found that only Christ can feel the hole that sin has created in my life and with out him I am empty. It reminds of the song "better is one day" because, better is one day with Christ then 1000 day's any ware without him (even 1,000 day's on a sunny beach) each day I spend trying my own thing and running from the lord I see the void becomes bigger and bigger. but each day I spend in the arms of Christ the void gets smaller and smaller. Each day we must choose who we will serve Joshua 24:15.
